This amazing story tells us about how once in a hot summer day a little boy called Mir arranges a cheerful feast on the occasion of his birthday. He is helped by his friend Martha, who lives across the apple garden, and by his friends from the green meadow: Motya the goat, Zorka the cow, Grisha the goose, Lola the duck, Senya the pig, Boris the lamb and Anka the lamb. What a wonderful and gracious holiday it turns out!

Mir and Martha are absolutely real: they are son of the author Juli Rey and daughter of the artist Evfrosina Lavrukhina. Both children are vegetarians since birth.
Using this book, children will learn about animals', insects' and flowers' lives. Questions after each chapter will live up a discussion and help with memorizing funny facts about animals living at the green meadow.
Thanks to 7 easy recipes, parents and children will have fun cooking simple and healthy vegetarian dishes.

Being vegetarian means to live with a smile on your face, to look at the world through the eyes of kindness and to try to always be at a bright side. There's probably nothing more important than teaching this notion to our children. This is a book full of kindness, which teaches us love, and it's what we'd all need today. It brings us peace, wonder and light. I'd be happy if everyone could read it..

Such a kind story with charming illustrations and easy recipes. Nature gives us the most delicious things – that's what we should explain to children and remind to adults. I wish this book to become a good friend to every family that is concerned about health and that believes in miracles.

ABOUT ARTIST
Artist's word
There was a whole month of miracle and fairy-immersion in my life. Pigs in caps and lambs with ties invaded my thoughts. Some of them were born at once, others changed their muzzles several times, becoming whimsical or angry, until they finally got the light in their eyes. I was smiling all the time while working on this book, and I hope our readers would feel the same.
